"Working with Carole has been such a rewarding experience. I came to her with some serious time management issues and no real roadmap for the future. She gave me the tools to see beyond the “right now” of the daily grind and look ahead with anticipation at the opportunities to come. She helped me develop a whole new outlook on what I could accomplish with the skills I have. Most of all, she’s a patient listener. Carole is an excellent facilitator, sorting through random ideas to keep me focused on what’s important. Thanks to Carole, I’m now writing and teaching… and enjoying the journey now more than ever. I would highly recommend Carole if you want to cut through the clutter of life to find and pursue your passion."

"Carole is able to gain insight into your problems very quickly and helps you develop a solution on your own by helping you see the positives and negatives of an approach. She is creative and brings techniques from different schools of thought depending on the situation. She is able to make you feel at ease when discussing any situation. At the same time she is tough and follows thru to make sure you are doing your homework. Overall a great coach to work with."

"Carole helped me obtain clarity on some major questions of career and life strategy that had been plaguing me. Along the way, we also uncovered and addressed a few "low hanging fruit" opportunities to make my business and work life more enjoyable and effective. I am grateful to Carole both for the big and small wins; together they have had noticeable impact. If you are a busy, hard charging, technical thinker who suspects that coaching is too "soft" for you, I recommend that you give Carole a try. She may well change your mind, and your life."

Personal Coaching
Philosophy: My career coaching philosophy is based on my training with several experts in the coaching field and is grounded in key concepts of career and adult development that result in long term change. It's my goal to see the whole person—not just their career or current work situation and thereby assist them in moving their entire life forward.
Results: Career coaching is about having a plan and taking action to get results to include any of the following:
  • Expanding options in current role
  • Defining a path for promotion
  • Finding a new career
  • Starting a business
  • Learning skills to overcome challenges and obstacles in their current role
  • Learning key skills for a new leadership role

Partnership: The relationship between the coach and the client is a partnership. It is the coach's responsibility to open possibilities and options that the client may not have seen; to make observations and give feedback to the client and support the client as they take action. In addition to identifying dreams, the coach also helps the client see their beliefs/opinions and works with them to develop new ways of handling old situations. It is the client's responsibility to "work the plan"--to take the steps identified and move forward.

Process: The process by which this is achieved is what coaching is all about. As a coach, it's my responsibility to help you see what's true for you, what you value, and what's important in your career/life through questioning, clarifying, listening, discerning and reframing. Coaching doesn't tell people what they should do. Instead, it's a process that helps people clarify what they want and are willing to do, and provides the encouragement and reinforcement needed to take action to achieve the career/life they desire. As a coach, I'm always in a process of "forwarding the action."

Timeline: Coaching happens over time. It's not a quick fix, but an exploration of your dreams and goals that lead to a doable plan. Most coaching relationships last a minimum of three months and can extend up to a year or more depending on the clients needs.
